The historic university city of Cambridge has it all, great shopping, world-class entertainment, inspiring art, breathtaking architecture and the green serenity of the Backs.
Here you can catch a play at Cambridge Arts Theatre or a band at The Junction or The Corn Exchange (the latter also hosts world class classical concerts) and if you’re planning on being around during late July and early August you could try the Cambridge Folk Festival, but book early; it sells out fast.
In September, one of Cambridge’s three cinemas, the Arts Picturehouse, also plays host to the Cambridge Film Festival, packed with premieres and visiting filmmakers.
If you prefer things a little more sedate, you could sample the art collections of the Fitzwilliam Museum, or simply take a punt and a picnic out on the river, a perfect way to see the medieval splendour of the older colleges, and a unique way to unwind.
Cambridge is situated approximately 23 miles from Tuddenham Mill and it takes 37 minutes to drive there.
