We are celebrating Silver Award from the AA!
14th March 2018
Tuddenham Mill, award-winning restaurant and boutique hotel near Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge, is thrilled to be awarded 4 AA Silver stars and the restaurant has retained the acclaimed 3 Rosettes for culinary excellence after a thorough AA inspection.
The AA Stars and Rosettes scheme was established in 1908 and is one of the most prestigious awards recognised nationally. It awards establishments based solely on AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors critical evaluation with no influence from hotels, restaurants or other guides.
The Silver award was launched in 2015 to recognise hotels that offer a superior level of quality within their star rating, high standards of hospitality, service and cleanliness. Tuddenham Mill has achieved a very high 83% merit score from the AA, which helps compare properties with the same number of Stars.
After his visit the AA Inspector, Steve Jones, has commented, “the property remains a lovely place to stay because of its high quality, style and relaxed atmosphere. Hospitality and service comfortably met expectations.” He praised cleanliness, attention to detail, high quality produce on all the menus and food that exceeds expectations.
Tuddenham Mill’s Chef Patron, Lee Bye, has said “It is a great milestone for the team and the hotel to achieve this remarkable award. To have our hospitality and high housekeeping standards recognised is reward for all the continuous efforts our team put in, even with such hard climates all hotels and restaurants face today, we are very pleased indeed.”
