This is rustic chic
Old oak beams and sleek glass. Big skies and cool interiors. Tranquil water and seductive aromas.
From its exposed beams and water wheel to the contemporary elegance of the bedroom furnishings,Tuddenham Mill brings together a unique mix of influences to excite the senses.
The riverside setting is positively serene and the contemporary decor within matches those views with original features and a clean, modern look. The bright, contemporary-style cooking features local and regional produce in creative dishes that utilise lots of modern culinary techniques. We strive to give great value, whether it be for a light bite from the bar menu, a sandwich, lunch, a la carte or a taster menu. Chef Lee Bye calls upon his country upbringing to conjure up tempting tasting and à la carte menus, showcasing hearty British fare inspired by seasonal ingredients. Dishes include trumped up traditional fare. To start: stone bass, kelp butter, mussels and lovage. Followed by a beautiful piece of locally sourced lamb from Long Melford, this is served with a kofta ragout, harissa, yogurt and watermint. To finish off and keeping with comfort and deep autumn we have recently introduced a Croissant baklava, wild honey from Tuddenham and sea buckthorn custard.
